Abbey Medieval Festival 2012

Last weekend I managed to get the Abbey Medieval Festival; this year being my third year. I dressed up this time, so a few people took photos of me that I will probably never see! I ended up talking cameras with most people rather than medieval. I took my Superheadz Slim this year because I've taken my DSLR for previous years and I thought I would do something different. I'm trying to get through some of the 22+ rolls of film I own, not to mention develop my lomo skills a little further.

As usual it was a wonderful day, even though I got a headache and had to go home early and missed the birds of prey show - my favorite. I decided to go to some of the smaller activities this year; I learnt about medieval underwear, curd cheese making, bread making and watched a flogging. I can't wait for next year already. It's so much fun to dress up and go because it's different from any other event I've ever been to. The time, effort and enthusiasm that has gone into this festival always makes it a great day out.
